Wmo 2015 — Social Support for Adults
Under the Social Support Act (Wet maatschappelijke ondersteuning 2015), municipalities are responsible for assessing support needs relating to self-reliance and participation.
Individual guidance may be available where a person cannot sufficiently manage everyday life or participate in society without additional assistance. Depending on the circumstances, support may focus on daily structure, practical independence, psychosocial functioning, administrative skills and social participation.
The municipality assesses whether support is necessary and which provision is appropriate. If a PGB is authorised, the participant may be able to arrange eligible support through a suitable provider.
The legal basis includes Article 2.3.2 (assessment), Article 2.3.5 (individual support measures) and Article 2.3.6 (PGB) of the Wmo 2015.
