Our Services

Personal support, emotional recovery and development on your terms.

Social support, psychosocial guidance and personal development programmes for people who have got stuck in several areas of life.

Eleven services, one coordinated approach

  1. Social Work and Individual Coaching

When problems pile up, it can become difficult to keep overview and take the right steps. We help with administrative matters, financial questions, housing problems, preparing for meetings and communication with public institutions.

In doing so, we focus not only on solving practical problems, but also on strengthening the skills participants need to advocate for their own interests.

    Support may include:

    • Assistance with administration, correspondence and appointments.
    • Guidance concerning housing, income, care and family circumstances.
    • Preparing for meetings with municipalities, UWV and other institutions.
    • Developing daily routines and practical organisational skills.
    • Strengthening communication and self-advocacy.
    • Coordinating with existing support providers.
  2. Psychosocial Support and Emotional Recovery

Major events, prolonged uncertainty and negative experiences can strongly affect emotional well-being and daily functioning.

Our psychosocial support focuses on recognising stress, strengthening emotional stability, developing appropriate coping skills and regaining trust. We give participants space to discuss their experiences and guide them towards more calm, self-insight and personal resilience.

Where specialist psychological treatment is necessary, we refer to or work with qualified healthcare professionals.

  3. Identity Coaching and Personal Development

Prolonged stress or major events can cause someone to lose touch with their personal wishes, qualities and future goals.

With identity coaching we help participants strengthen their self-image, recognise personal boundaries and discover their own possibilities. We pay attention to confidence, cultural identity, personal values and developing a new vision of the future.

  4. Resilience Training Through MMA and Boxing

Our resilience training combines sporting activities with personal development.

Through MMA and boxing, participants work on discipline, concentration, self-control, recognising tension and setting boundaries. The training is tailored to the participant's personal capabilities and physical capacity.

  5. Youth Care and Family-Related Psychosocial Support

Families involved with youth care often experience uncertainty, communication difficulties and emotional strain.

We help with understanding correspondence, preparing for meetings, organising relevant documents and requesting access to personal records. We also support parents and young adults in voicing their concerns clearly and constructively. Where appropriate we collaborate with legal professionals, youth care providers and other specialists.

  6. Financial Guidance and Budget Coaching

Financial uncertainty can cause significant stress and affect other areas of life.

We help participants gain overview of income and expenses, organise their administration, develop budgeting skills and make financial plans. Where problematic debts are involved, we help participants find suitable debt assistance.

  7. Guidance Towards Financial Independence After Guardianship

For people under court-ordered financial administration (beschermingsbewind) who want to explore managing their finances independently again, we offer targeted guidance.

We help participants develop financial skills, administrative overview and responsibility for their finances. Where ending the arrangement seems feasible, we can support the preparation of next steps.

  8. Holistic Breathwork and Relaxation

Prolonged tension can affect both the body and emotional well-being.

With guided breathing and relaxation exercises we help participants recognise physical tension, develop body awareness and create moments of calm.

  9. Afrodance and Social Connection

Dance and music offer ways to stimulate confidence, relaxation and social connection.

With Afrodance we organise activities centred on movement, cultural expression and personal development. These activities can be used individually or in groups.

  10. Music and Creative Development

Music and creativity can contribute to self-expression, personal growth and discovering new talents.

Within our creative activities participants can explore songwriting, singing, music production and collaboration. We focus on strengthening confidence, motivation, communication and social skills.

  11. Practical Support and Household Structure

For people who struggle to organise or carry out daily household tasks, we offer practical support.

We help create structure, organise activities and strengthen independence in the home situation.

How can our guidance be funded?

Not everyone has the financial means to pay for a guidance programme themselves. That is why we look at funding possibilities together with the participant. Depending on the personal situation, support needs and institutions involved, there are several options.

1. Personal Budget (PGB)

Certain forms of individual guidance and support can be funded through a Dutch Personal Budget (Persoonsgebonden Budget, PGB), for example under the Social Support Act (Wmo).

This depends on the personal support needs, the provision granted and the conditions of the municipality or other responsible authority. Not all services and activities qualify for PGB funding.

2. Broad support for childcare benefits scandal victims

Parents and other entitled persons affected by the Dutch childcare benefits scandal (toeslagenaffaire) may qualify for broad support through their municipality. This support covers five areas of life: finances, housing, care, family and work.

Depending on the personal situation, suitable guidance and recovery-focused activities can form part of the municipal action plan. Where the municipality agrees, YFOEX can be engaged as the executing organisation for the agreed programme.

3. Programmes through municipalities and UWV

Municipalities and UWV offer, under certain conditions, support to people who want to take steps towards social participation, personal development or work.

YFOEX can offer separate tailor-made programmes for this, including guidance focused on self-reliance, personal effectiveness, participation and entrepreneurship. Whether a programme can be commissioned depends on the objectives, the applicable regulations and the agreements with the client.

4. Direct funding and custom agreements

Our services can also be commissioned directly by individuals, organisations or other clients.

Depending on the support request, we prepare a suitable proposal setting out the guidance, objectives, duration and costs.
